Mary Ellen, our Executive Director, also serves as the clinical anchor to our team approach. She is an active member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and The Michigan Board of Certified Advanced Addiction Professionals. Clinically trained in inpatient and outpatient mental health and rehabilitation settings, Mary Ellen provides counseling to individuals, couples, and families experiencing a host of psychological and social difficulties. Her hospital training has provided her the experience to work effectively with all age groups and most presenting psychological difficulties. She has extensive experience in issues specific to women. Additionally, she works with area schools in providing counseling and mentoring to parents and children with issues ranging from ADHD to family and age normative developmental difficulties.


Dr. Wilbur B. Leer, PhD, ABPP
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Leer serves as the supervising licensed psychologist, providing professional oversight for clinical psychological services. He has many years of clinical experience providing neuropsychological and rehabilitation services. He works with children and adults in the areas of neuropsychology behavioral management, biofeedback, substance abuse, and medically-related problems. Dr. Leer is able to administer a variety of neuropsychological tests, as well as personality, vocational, and academic assessments. Dr. Leer also consults with individuals on nutritional issues affecting overall wellness and psychological healing.


Rev. Jim Houseman, BS, MA, MRE, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Jim is a lifelong West Michigan native, and serves as the pastoral counselor at Raybrook Counseling. He brings more than three decades of experience in serving and caring for people in a pastoral counseling setting. He has a wide variety of skills as a teacher, counselor, and pastor and is able to facilitate faith-based solutions in many contexts, including pre-marital, marital, family, and teen counseling.
